Maps
We currently publish two maps for hiking, biking, and other outdoor pursuits in northern Arizona, the Flagstaff Trails Map and the Sedona Trails Map. For a map of the region showing the area covered by our maps, please click here.
Flagstaff Trails Map
The
latest version of the Flagstaff Trails Map
was released in November of 2008, the fourth update since it was
originally published in 2003.
More than 200 miles of single-track trails are depicted, as well as 25 miles of Flagstaff Urban Trails (FUTS), 300 miles of rideable forest roads, and 140 miles of on-street bikeways, in a 375-square mile area around Flagstaff from Upper Lake Mary to the San Francisco Peaks.
This map is exceptionally detailed and accurate. All of the trails were hiked and/or biked by Emmitt Barks Cartography, and trail alignments were derived using a global positioning system (GPS). Map features include campgrounds, picnic areas, trailheads, wilderness areas, scenic views, and important landmarks.
Shaded
relief gives the map a "3D" appearance and makes topography
easy to read. Contour lines are depicted at an interval of 50
feet. Vertical profiles help users judge the difficulty of the
trail before embarking on a hike or ride, and a trail summary table
provides some basic information, a short description, and a rating.
Printed two sides in full color on durable, waterproof, tear-resistant synthetic paper. Unfolded size is 24 x 37 inches; folds down to 4 x 7.75 inches. The scale is 1:35,000 (1 inch = 2,917 feet or 0.552 miles). Click on the thumbnail image to the left for a preview of the map.

Sedona Trails Map
The
first edition of the Sedona Trails Map, which illustrates more than 200 miles of hiking and biking trails in Sedona's
world-famous, breathtaking, red rock country, was published in April of
2005.
Our Sedona map has the same great features and detail as the Flagstaff Trails Map, including easy-to-read shaded topography, trail mileage and spot elevations, summary information for all 94 trails shown on the map, vertical profiles for 60 trails, and UTM coordinates for GPS users. Other information includes campgrounds, picnic areas, trailheads, wilderness areas, landmarks, scenic views, and vortexes.
Like
the Flagstaff Trails Map, all of the trails were hiked and/or biked by
Emmitt Barks Cartography, and trail alignments were derived using a
global positioning system (GPS), which gives the map unequaled accuracy
and completeness.
This map is printed two sides in full color on durable, waterproof, tear-resistant synthetic paper. Unfolded size is 24 x 37 inches; folds down to 4 x 7.75 inches. The scale is 1:29,000 (1 inch = 2,417 feet or 0.468 miles). Click on the image to the right for a preview.
